Here a just a few ways you can help spread the word about suicide prevention in your class, in your community and to support the work of The Samaritans of Rhode Island.
Note: It is against state and municipal law in Rhode Island to post signs on public property including bridges and light poles or on private property without permission of appropriate authorities. Please do NOT post our Crisis Hotline/Listening Line number without permission. State and local authorities will remove such signs.
Class Work
Need to do a class project? Use this website and our brochures to create a term paper, distribute information or make a class presentation.
Peer to Peer Education
- Are you part of Peer to Peer group at your school? Educate your about suicide prevention.
- The Samaritans need partners who can help spread the word about suicide prevention. Consider hosting an information table at a school health fair or consider assisting the Samaritans by incorporating them into your senior project.
